Safety Data Sheet

Bitumen suppliers provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to their customers for all bitumens. These sheets list all known hazards and indicate risk reduction measures. The provision of the Safety Data Sheet by the industry is voluntary and not compulsory since bitumen is not classified as a dangerous substance. Eurobitume has published recommendations to members for the compilation of Safety Data Sheets, which are consistent with the International Standard ISO 11014/1.
